As a bride-to-be, we think about our look down to every detail. Some brides want a clean and classic look, while others want a beachy, boho look. The possibilities are endless, but one thing for sure is the bride should reflect her personal style. Whether it be Princess Diana, or Kate Moss, there is always an inspiration. From makeup and hair, to accessories, to the dress, there have been some brides who have been flawless from head to toe with impeccable style.
Over time, we have seen some beautiful bridal looks and we want to share some of our favorite complete bridal looks throughout recent history.
Audrey Hepburn – 1954
Audrey Hepburn is a fashion icon known for her role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s as well as her cute and playful fashioin style, which is still an inspiration to fashion today. Her bridal look for her wedding to Mel Farrer was a perfect reflection of her style, pretty and playful, yet has a classic elegance.
Princess of Monaco Grace Kelley – 1956
We cannot talk about bridal style without mentioning Grace Kelly. Grace Kelly’s bridal look was classic, regal, and very traditional, perfect for a princess. Her gown, which was designed by American designer Helen Rose, was very conservative, yet made a statement. The veil and cap gave her a very refined look and her makeup and her were simple and polished. I have to say Princess Grace is the epitome of the perfect classic bride.
Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton – 2011
Princess Kate has to be one of the most iconic brides of our time. Her gown, designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, which she drew inspiration from Grace Kelly, was nothing short of perfection for modern day royalty. Her makeup and hair, which she did herself was very polished and reflective of her style. She was the ideal modern day bride who opted for a more conservative and timeless look.
Chrissy Teigen – 2014
Supermodel and TV personality Chrissy Teigen made for a stunning modern day bride in her wedding to singer John Legend. Her gorgeous Vera Wang wedding gown wowedfans across the world and her romantic updo and soft, glowing makeup perfectly pulled the entire look together for a modern day bridal look that is sure to look gorgeous years down the road.
Solange Knowles -2014
Solange Knowles, younger sister of Beyonce Knowles wore a stylish Humberto Leon caped gown to for her wedding and donned her signature afro. Her unique yet signature style really shined through as she chose something we have rarely seen. She has broken all the rules when it comes to weddings and the result is a stunning, high end wedding afaire.
